Are you struggling to get traffic or build momentum in your affiliate marketing business?
Maybe you’ve heard that posting consistently on social media is the key. But does it really work—especially in 2025?
To find out, I recently completed a 30-day Instagram content challenge as part of a coaching program from Internet Profits. The mission was simple:
👉 Show up and post every day, no matter what.
What I learned surprised me—and it might change how you think about building an online business with social media.
Why I Did a 30-Day Instagram Posting Challenge
Like many affiliate marketers just starting out, I knew I needed to “create content” to be seen—but I was inconsistent.
This challenge was designed to prove one powerful principle:
Consistency builds visibility. Action builds trust.
And it worked. But not in the way I expected.
Starting Small: Learning the Instagram Platform
When I started, I wasn’t an Instagram expert. I had to take time to understand how it worked and get familiar with its tools and posting guidelines.
I began with simple image posts, just to get comfortable. Then I tried reusing short videos I had already created for TikTok—an efficient strategy… or so I thought.
What I Discovered About Reposting TikTok Videos
Instagram penalizes content that looks recycled.
When I uploaded TikTok videos with their watermark, the Instagram algorithm treated them as non-original content—meaning my videos barely got shown.
So I changed my strategy.
I started creating videos outside of TikTok and Instagram using editing tools that let me remove watermarks entirely. I then uploaded those clean versions directly to each platform and made small edits inside the app.
That one tweak helped improve my visibility and reach almost immediately.
Building a Funnel Behind My Instagram Content
Even with daily posts, content alone isn’t enough in affiliate marketing. You need a system behind it to turn views into leads.
So I set up a proper link in my Instagram bio that connects to my free lead magnet—an 11-minute training video that shows beginners how to start affiliate marketing step by step. If you’re already a subscriber on my email list, you know about the video I’m talking about.
Every piece of content I posted had one job:
👉 Guide people toward my funnel and give them a reason to subscribe.
Instagram Results After 30 Days of Posting
Here’s what happened after 30 consecutive days of posting on Instagram:
- 2 new followers
- No viral growth—but meaningful data and lessons
What I Learned From Posting on Instagram Daily
Here’s what truly came from this challenge—and what might help you if you’re feeling invisible or stuck:
✅ 1. Consistency Builds Confidence
You stop overthinking. You start showing up. And that builds trust with both your audience and yourself.
✅ 2. Momentum Sparks Clarity
The more I posted, the easier it became to come up with content ideas.
✅ 3. Small Tweaks Matter
Removing watermarks and posting clean, original videos made a clear difference in reach.
✅ 4. Expect Delayed Results
Even when you show up daily, it takes time. This isn’t about overnight traffic—it’s about planting seeds.
✅ 5. Posting Isn’t Enough—You Need Strategy
Without a funnel or a way to capture leads, you’re just hoping people “figure out” what to do next.
What This Means for Affiliate Marketing in 2025
Affiliate marketing in 2025 is still thriving—but only if you treat it like a real business.
You don’t need viral videos. You don’t need fancy gear. You don’t need to be an expert.
But you do need to:
- Show up consistently
- Post platform-friendly content
- Offer value
- Guide people toward something meaningful (like a lead magnet or free training)

From Invisible to Intentional
I may not have gone viral. I may not have gained thousands of followers.
But I gained something more important:
- I became more consistent.
- I got clearer on my message.
- And I laid the foundation to build real trust and traffic over time.
So if you’re wondering whether it’s worth showing up—even when no one’s watching—my answer is 100% yes.
Because visibility and trust don’t come from going viral.
They come from showing up—one post at a time.
Also note that all I did in this account was posting. No engagement. No social on other accounts.
Guess what? I will fix that for an extended 30 day sequence! Let’s see if, by combining posting with daily engagement, I could bring more people to follow me.
Were you really thinking I would stop there?

Hi Martin,
It all starts with the basics! Whatever we try to do in life, we first need to learn how it works and what it takes to make it work long term. Success isn’t something that you can snap your fingers and get right away but I definitely like what you’ve done – and shown yourself – by doing this 30 day challenge.
We all would want the instant gratification of knowing what we’re doing online is going to bring us a load of $$$… unfortunately, the internet doesn’t work that way and many lose their way in thinking that it’s easy and quick.
Thanks for bringing this truth front and center; it makes it definitely more genuine!
All the best!
Many people think it is easy and quick because we told them it’s going to be easy and quick. How many posts do we see each day on Instagram and TikTok saying just that?! 10 minutes ago I saw one promoting 10K$ in 30days was easy even for a beginner with no niche! All you have to do is to make 10 x 1000$ sales using an affiliate link and posting videos. 2 years now I try to do it. 😒
